In recognition of the busy and often mobile lives of its members, North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce today officially launched a service enabling them to connect to the latest news, events and offers whilst on the move. Simply by entering the Chamber’s web address on a mobile phone, the content is automatically optimized for mobile phone viewing.
The service was announced at the Chamber’s AGM and Autumn Lunch. All guests were invited to scan a QR code printed on to their drink mat which automatically launched the mobile site. The service is believed to be the first of its kind within the national Chamber network and is expected to keep members in closer contact with the latest updates.
Mark Brammar, Membership Services Manager enthused "The new mobile service compliments existing channels to reach, inform and engage with our members. The easier we make it for them to access and take advantage of our services, the more likely they are to benefit which is key to driving the local economy. As well as helping member retention, we also anticipate that the service will help us to connect to many of the younger start-up businesses in the region that have grown up expecting this form of communication."
